Neurotheology Science by Dr Gasser Hathout

Introduction: On this series Dr Gasser Hathout will talk about the neuroscience related to Islam and Quran.
Is faith innate or acquired?  This lecture series begins with this deep philosophical question, starting with the interpretations of verse 172 from Sural Al-‘Araf, which have suggested to many scholars that the capacity to recognize God’s existence is an innate or in-born human faculty.  The philosophical theories of innatism verses the tabula rasa (“blank slate”) hypothesis are compared and contrasted.
