In the 2014 Supercup, the previous season’s league champions and DFB-Pokal winners Bayern München met Borussia Dortmund. The first title of the 2014/15 season was to be awarded in Der Klassiker. A committed performance, with goals from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, saw Dortmund prevail over the double winners in the first highlight of the season.
