Hear from HWW Workshop alumni, PI, and Director of Operations to learn more about our workshop and how you can apply.
The Humanities Without Walls Summer Career Diversity Workshop prepares doctoral students for careers both within and outside the academy through a series of summer workshops. Graduate students selected for this program will engage in intensive discussions with organizers of public humanities projects, leaders of university presses and learned societies, experts in the various domains of the digital humanities, representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations, and holders of important non-faculty positions in colleges and universities (academic administrators, student services professionals, librarians and archivists, development officers, and so forth). In the summers of 2017 and 2019, this project expanded its reach beyond the consortial partner universities by drawing on a national applicant pool of humanities doctoral students. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, HWW plans to host its first virtual, national Pre-Doctoral Career Diversity Summer Workshop in summer 2021. A detailed Call for Applications for the 2021 workshop is available here: https://www.humanitieswithoutwalls.illinois.edu/initiatives/pre-doctoral/pre-doctoral-cfa.html |
