Slamming BBC Series on Prime Minister Narendra Modi based on 2002 Gujarat Riots, India on January 19 called the series a “propaganda piece, designed to push a particular discredited narrative”, and colonial mindset was depicted in the film. Addressing a Press Conference, MEA Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said, “Do note that this has not been screened in India...We think that this is a propaganda piece, designed to push a particular discredited narrative. The bias, lack of objectivity & continuing colonial mindset is blatantly visible.”
