Talking from her own experiences of the civil war in Yemen, Leyan shows us how we can positively communicate about experience of conflict via social media. Leyan is currently a student at St Augustine’s Church of England high school, about to take her GCSEs in physical education, history and psychology. Originally from Yemen, she has since lived in Switzerland and the UK.
When Leyan is not busy revising for her upcoming exams, she enjoys traveling to different countries and playing basketball, her favourite sport. She also enjoys watching debates and occasionally drawing.
Leyan is very passionate about history and learning about the past. This has resulted in her developing a passion for feminism. When Leyan is older she hopes to use her voice to push for peace around the world and end all wars.
