By now, I am sure that a lot of you have heard about Melle Stewart, Ben Lewis' wife. I won't go into too much detail here, but for those who don't, she suffered a stroke earlier this year. She has gone from a healthy woman to needing to learn how to walk and talk again.

Both Melle and Ben are actors and the pandemic has not been kind to their line of work. Both of them will not be able to return to work even with some theatre returning due to Melle's extended recovery and Ben taking care of her. She needs continued therapy and most likely modifications to their home. Eventually, they would like to return to Australia and have her continue recovering with their families; they have not been able to see them through this ordeal due to the pandemic.

Also, Mellie had a stroke due to rare reaction to the AstraZeneca Covid vaccine. It is extremely uncommon and limited to this specific vaccine. Do not let this deter you from getting yours and/or thinking all vaccines are bad. There are rare complications with every single vaccine. They still work for almost everyone and is the only way to return our lives to some normalcy. Melle herself still advocates for getting vaccinated.
