FILM SYNOPSIS

Some Kind of Wonderful is a 1987 romantic drama film directed by Howard Deutch and written by John Hughes. The movie follows the story of a working-class high school student named Keith (Eric Stoltz), who has a crush on a popular and beautiful girl named Amanda (Lea Thompson).
However, Amanda is already in a relationship with a wealthy, arrogant boy named Hardy (Craig Sheffer). With the help of his best friend Watts (Mary Stuart Masterson), who secretly harbors feelings for him, Keith hatches a plan to win Amanda's heart by asking her out on a date. As Keith and Amanda spend more time together, they develop a strong connection and begin to fall in love. However, their relationship is threatened by Amanda's jealous boyfriend, Hardy, and the class divide between them. In the end, Keith realizes that he is in love with Watts and not Amanda, and the two of them share a romantic kiss. Meanwhile, Amanda breaks up with Hardy and decides to pursue her own dreams.
