South Africa is engaged in an abusive exploitation of the International Court of Justice's procedures.

So says the State of Israel in its response to South Africa's March 6th request, urging the Court to examine whether additional provisional measures were required to protect Palestinians caught up in Israel's military offensive against Hamas in Gaza.

In its latest submission, Pretoria charged that Israel has knowingly and deliberately continued to act in defiance of the provisional orders that were handed down by the Court in late January.

Israel has since responded, calling Pretoria's approach belligerent and disingenuous, further accusing South Africa of engaging in a constant barrage of documentation that seeks to re-litigate issues already considered and decided by the Hague-based World Court.
