Vaginal reconstruction and rejuvenation is a cosmetic procedure to tighten the vagina which enhances muscle tone, strength and control.

The muscles and ligaments around the vagina can weaken due to childbirth, tissue stretching, improper healing and the natural aging process. All of this can lead to urinary incontinence or loss of sexual gratification.
However, as the Medical Director of Robotics at Johnson-Willis Hospital Dr. Nathan Guerette explains, there are several minimally invasive and office based options to strengthen the vagina.
"For bigger problems, we're using robotic surgery now to treat these issues in the operating room to change these surgeries from being large, open procedures that require many hours of surgery and many months of recovery to a surgery that's less than half that time, and they go home the next day."

The surgery provides support to the pelvis which helps the various functions of the vagina, bladder, and rectum.
