[KiniNews] Two naval helicopters collided in mid-air during a rehearsal session at the Royal Malaysian Navy stadium in Lumut, Perak, this morning.

According to the navy, all 10 people on board the two aircraft were killed in the incident during a flyover training for the 90th Naval Day celebration, at 9.32am.

The collision involved a Eurocopter Fennec and an AgustaWestland AW139 Maritime Operations Helicopter.

Meanwhile, in a separate story, the Kuala Lumpur High Court heard a bold assertion from Najib Abdul Razak's lead defence counsel, Muhammad Shafee Abdullah, stating that the 25 1MDB criminal charges against Najib are "all wrong."

During today's RM2.27 billion 1MDB graft trial, Shafee raised concerns about the legality of the charges, comprising four abuse of power charges and 21 money laundering counts.
