Let's eat bugs: Melody Cao at TEDxBrownU

video thumbnail
Melody introduces the idea of using bugs as another food source. Likening it to the introduction of raw fish consumption, she discusses the health and environmental benefits of turning to insects as a source of protein. Melody is a Brown/RISD Dual Degree student in her third year of the program. On a rainy Providence day, you can find her scouring Groupon for archery or plane-flying adventures, tinkering with birch veneer in the studio, or brain dumping on her blog. She is ready to convince people that eating insects is really not that weird at all.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
