👉 Learn how to find the derivative of exponential and logarithmic expressions. The derivative of a function, y = f(x), is the measure of the rate of change of the function, y, with respect to the variable x. The process of finding the derivative of a function is called differentiation. There are various methods of finding the derivative of a function including, direct differentiation, product rule, quotient rule, chain rule (function of a function), etc.
To find the derivative of a logarithm and exponential functions, we make use of some of the logarithm and exponential laws and the applicable differentiation laws to evaluate the derivative.
