I am totally losing track of all the records Kendrick Nunn is setting right now. If you told me, for example, that he has now broken Wilt Chamberlain's single-game scoring record, I would respond "yeah I remember that, what a great game that was maybe the best ever by anyone" while nodding my head. Or if you claimed that, with his last assist, he surpassed John Stockton for most assists in league history, I'd be like "I wonder how Meyers Leonard feels about being part of history".

The question we should all be asking ourselves is "Is Kendrick Nunn too good for my highlights channel?". Now, that's a silly question for a lot of you guys to ask yourselves, because you don't have a highlights channel in the first place and thus have no criteria for the players you include in it. And for the remainder of you, you have a highlight channel, but there is no concept of withholding highlights of a player because they're too good. So actually it's basically only a question I should be asking myself. No one else should be asking the question.

I've been asking it to myself a lot lately. And the answer is "he's a rookie, so he stays". That's always the answer with rookies, to the detriment of my sanity (I'm SO RELIEVED to be free of statpadder Trae Young and statpadder Luka Doncic). Except for Ben Simmons, because he was just statpadding at way too high of a level.

Nunn isn't even statpadding right now. He's chucking, for sure, put I won't call something "statpadding" until the player starts getting way too many assists. That's sometimes a problem for Nunn, but it's not too bad, since it's clear that what he really wants to do is shoot shots. 15 shot attempts tonight, 10 makes, 0 assists. That's what I love to see. Is it too early to call him and Tyler Herro "The Chuck Bros"? I don't think it is. Don't get mad, I'll be using the term in the most endearing way possible.
