Documentary series about the Royal Derby Hospital. Episode three includes former bouncers Scott and Malcolm, who ten years ago swapped working on the doors of pubs and clubs in Derby to become hospital security guards. From helping to restrain patients in Accident and Emergency to looking for a missing patient on suicide watch, the pair never know what their next call will bring. Nurse Becki is on the neonatal ward and forms a close bond with parents Keira and Dan. The couple have been in the hospital since their baby Jacob was born 14 weeks prematurely. Sister Lee is about to clock off from a tough shift when she has to deal with an unusual arrival in the ambulance bay - a woman giving birth in the back of a car. In the mortuary, Matt and Marie prepare the body of Carl for an emotional last look by his family. Finally, Lee is in for a surprise from security guard Scott.
