The alert level was just raised at one of New Zealand's most active volcanoes; White Island. This volcano has erupted 24 times since 1950, and had been at a still elevated albeit lower alert level since early April of 2022. So, does this mean that a volcanic eruption is about to occur? What is the context of this change? This video will answer these two questions and discuss the overall volcanic complex.
