3D-printing for development will redefine Africa in this century, empowering all with the technological freedom to create unique Afrocentric solutions for themselves and their communities. In this talk Dr Dunn shares personal and nuanced examples of how 3D-printing for development would make a profound impact in lives across the continent. She believes that in future everything will be "Made for Africa. Made in Africa". Dr Cherise Dunn is the co-founder of the Africa Makes 3D-Printing for Development (#3D4D) Initiative - an unique social hybrid organisation increasing capacity and driving economic opportunity for youth, women, and entrepreneurs to adopt the 3D-printing technology and participate in the global industry.
