The "Getting to Know You: Our Neighbors of European Heritage Oral History Exhibit" at the Thomas Center is a year long project that is a collaboration between the Eastside High School International Baccalaureate Junior Class, the University of Florida European Studies Department and the Sam Proctor Oral History Program. This past year the IB juniors interviewed 32 individuals who had first hand experiences of some of the most significant events in European history over the past 70 years: from the Spanish Civil War through the end of the Cold War. The students researched, interviewed, filmed and photographed each of their subjects. Each portrait will be on display at the Thomas Center.
