Story-telling Week - Origami Flower Activity

video thumbnail
As part of story-telling week the children in year 6 are learning how to make an Origami Flower. These flowers are especially significant because the children have written their hopes and dreams on the paper (in secret) which will then be folded into a beautiful Origami Flower.

An important part of this activity is that the writing will not be marked or critiqued and only the child will know what is concealed inside the flower. As the child watches the paper slowly become a flower, they will begin to see that their hopes and dreams can also come to life and become something beautiful.
