However, your short term team trip cancellation group plan does provide international medical coverage. Thus, your team would not need to purchase an additional travel medical insurance policy.

Question: While during my travels, my elderly parent has a medical emergency, will my group travel trip cancellation plan cover my flight home, Doug?
Answer: Sarah, on most of our travel insurance plans, a trip interruption would be covered. If you have a change fee, or have pay for additional airfare, you would be able to file a claim.

Question: Doug, I have a pre-existing condition which might not allow me to travel. Will that cancelation be covered?
Answer: Anthony, only certain trip cancellation plans will cover a pre-existing condition. These plans must be purchased usually within 10-14 days of the traveler’s initial trip deposit.

Question: The travelers are paying their trip deposit to our organization, but we are not purchasing the flights for another month. When should we purchase the trip cancelation plan for our group, Doug?
Answer: Melissa, it is best to purchase after the very first trip deposit. A few of our travel insurance plans offer additional coverage for pre-existing conditions or “Cancel for Any Reason,” Melissa. These plans must be purchased usually within 10-14 days of the initial trip deposit on most plans.
