This left handed guitar lesson explains the structure and theory behind 5th chords, which are also known as power chords because of the powerful sound they can produce. 5th chords are used commonly in contemporary music and especially in rock, grunge, punk and any form of music that needs a chord with punch. This lesson is for both acoustic guitar and electric guitar as power chords are played on both instruments.
