Burrows, who has served as Motherwell FC's chief executive for nine years and has over 15 years of experience at the club, will now lead Aberdeen FC in their strategic vision for the future.

During his tenure at Motherwell, Burrows achieved significant milestones, including transitioning the club to fan ownership, recording its highest-ever turnover and net profit, and securing a record transfer fee and sponsorship deal. The club also celebrated its highest-ever season ticket sales figure and various on-pitch successes.

Aberdeen FC chairman Dave Cormack praised Burrows as the ideal candidate for the role, highlighting his extensive knowledge and experience in Scottish football. Cormack expressed gratitude to Motherwell chairman Jim McMahon for facilitating a smooth transition between the two clubs.

Burrows, who considers the appointment a "real privilege," is eager to work with the talented staff at Pittodrie and immerse himself in the city and its football culture.
