Each body part needs to work well in order for us to run efficiently. This starts with our feet, which connect us to the ground. Running barefoot or in barefoot running shoes helps build up our feet so they can work better with the rest of our body. In essence, this approach teaches us how to run more like our ancestors did, who were able to successfully travel long distances on undeveloped terrain.
