We are in an unprecedented time. A virus is spreading and many are dying; the economy looks bad, and as of this writing, we're supposed to be staying indoors. How do we respond well in this time of crisis? How do we live well despite the challenges? How do flourish mentally in the time of Coronavirus? In this 4-part series, I'll try to address those questions from my own training and my patients' wisdom. We'll go from the pragmatic to the profound, from the obvious responses to the obscure life hacks. Disclaimer: This is a livestream that showcases a psychiatrist’s opinion on world and local events. As much as possible, we will be discussing topics based on the most recently available data and facts. However, we are not intended to be a substitute for your typical news sources. Instead, we are happy to serve as one of many expert opinions on mental health. That said, if you do have specific clinical questions, we do recommend speaking to your primary care provider or mental health professional. If you find yourself in an emergency, please dial 9-1-1 or visit your local emergency room.
