Farmers have resumed their march toward the nation’s capital, Delhi, reigniting tensions at the city’s border. Amid strict security measures, the protesters reportedly deployed more than 1,200 tractors and other heavy machinery to make their way through the gates of the city. Law enforcement's response was swift, with police firing tear gas shells in an attempt to halt the protest. The situation escalated early in the morning, as the farmers, who are demanding better economic conditions, reached the Tikri, Shambhu, and Singhu border, all bolstered by heavy security barricades. Demonstrators were seen distributing safety gear such as masks and gloves among themselves. They also brought along excavators and earth-moving machines at the Shambhu border to break down the concrete barricades put up by the police.
