In conjunction with the exhibition The Courtauld Collection. A Vision for Impressionism, from 20 February to 17 June 2019 at the Fondation Louis Vuitton, four round tables will bring together art historians, curators, critics, experts, and collectors from around the world to discuss the history of the collection and the Courtauld Institute.

In this roundtable, Ernst Vegelin van Claerbergen of the Courtauld Institute will discuss this institution’s history from the pre-war period to its collaboration with the Warburg Institute and its time under the direction of Anthony Blunt (1947-1974). Other subjects to be addressed include current research and teaching techniques by Alixe Bovey and the ambitious “Courtauld Connects” transformation project by Deborah Swallow.
