Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlán (MNT) is the featured group for the 28th Annual Mariachi Extravaganza. The group is based in Guadalajara and performs under the musical direction of Fernando Martinez. MNT performed this fabulous rendition of Rondinella/Bodas de Luis Alonso at the International Trumpet Guild Conference held earlier this year in San Antonio. They will return on Friday, November 18 for their first performance at the Extravaganza. This outstanding group has been in existence for 57 years (since 1965) and represents "la excelencia de Mexico." Tickets to see MNT are available at Ticketmaster.com.

The Mariachi Extravaganza is produced by San Antonio based MPR (Muñoz Public Relations) whose mission is to utilize the mariachi music platform to promote higher education and cultural preservation among Hispanic youth. The Mariachi Extravaganza is the largest giver of scholarships, grants and prizes to student mariachi musicians.
