As the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic hits the country, the markets stoop low with COVID lockdown impact on the economy. Domestic equity markets were in the red losing about 2.1%. SENSEX gave up 48,000 and tanked over 1000 points. Nifty was below 14,300 but maintained its levels above the 14k mark. Almost all SENSEX stocks were deep in red, led by banking and finance stocks such as IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finance, ICICI Bank, and SBI.
