The Wollongong Hawks have announced the signing of their new head coach, former Perth Wildcats head coach, Rob Beveridge.

Beveridge replaces long time head coach Gordie McLeod, who advised the team last week that he would not re-sign with the club.

Rob Beveridge last coached in the NBL in 2013 after the Perth Wildcats lost to the NZ Breakers in the NBL finals. Beveridge left the Wildcats to coach in China for the Shanghai Sharks. He left China in March 2014 and returned to Perth where he has been since.
