Portraits of two of the first Māori female MPs were unveiled at Parliament today.
Labour MPs Iriaka Ratana and Whetu Tirikatene-Sullivan were pioneers of their time trailblazing the way for Māori women to enter Parliament.Our reporter Eruera Rerekura was at the ceremony and spoke to their contemporaries and what their legacy means to them. |
