Iceland's erupting volcano: Record-breaking numbers of people visit site over weekend |

Record breaking numbers of visitors have travelled to see the the erupting volcano near Iceland's capital Reykjavik over the weekend.
More than 5,000 people visited the area of the eruption on the Reykjanes peninsula near the town of Grindavik. Rescue services have setup infrastructure to allow safe access to the site which has become a top tourism destination since the eruption began on March 19th. Meanwhile, the local fire brigade are monitoring gas emissions.
