In 1968, the 30 years of violence in Northern Ireland began. At the centre were two conflicting visions with the power of paramilitaries on both sides. Conflicts that spread across the country forced people to build the wall. After the peaceful settlement of the conflict in 1998, the legacy of the conflict continues to plague the region.
