I think we are ready to start so good morning to all of you.

So good morning and welcome to all of you.
Today we are discussing challenges in our southern neighbourhood and the fight against terrorism.
The Middle East, North Africa and the Sahel regions face interconnected security, demographic, economic and political challenges.
Aggravated by the impact of climate change, and food insecurity caused by Russia’s war in Ukraine.

It is in our interest to continue working with our close partners in the South to fights shared challenges together.
Today we will discuss how NATO can address the causes of instability and step up our efforts in the fight against terrorism.

And then I thank the media for joining us at the opening of the meeting and we continue in just a moment. So thank you so much.
