Using personalized brain science to detect dementia | Yael Katz | TEDxSarasota

video thumbnail
Often with a major illness, by the time we see a doctor we are quite far along in its degenerative track. We now have the ability through technology to monitor our brain in new ways, and through her talk Yael shows us how we have now harnessed this technology to understand dementia and other ‘conditions’ on our own, with testing at the touch of a button. It's time for us to BrainCheck.

A neurobiologist with a background in physics turned entrepreneur, Yael blends data science and neuro-cognitive testing to design new ways to access our minds. Her focus is changing the way we see our health and our brain’s capacity. As CEO of BrainCheck she’s just getting started impacting this category.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
