2021 Live Review 4 | AP Psychology | How We Learn to Associate Stimuli with Responses |
|
In this AP Daily: Live Review session for AP Psychology, we will review the FRQ presented in Session 3 and then introduce the historically significant studies associated with classical and operant conditioning.
We'll compare and contrast the two associative learning concepts using relatable and realistic scenarios. We will apply schedules of reinforcement in context as well as the overjustification effect, shaping and chaining. This video will include the presentation of discriminative learning and generalization along with the related concepts of schema accommodation and assimilation. Learned helplessness, latent learning and observational learning are each presented. This video will also examine depression and the biology of serotonin. An FRQ, inclusive of content from Unit 4, is offered for practice and review during Session 5.
