Have you ever examined the clothing worn by protestors? In her TEDxLFHS talk, Alia Attar argues that protest fashion is a reflection of the political landscape of the time and a cultural tool of resistance – a tool that demonstrates the strength of solidarity. She is involved with many clubs, like Special Olympics and EmbRACE, and she also represents the Human Rights Club as president, where she focuses on advocacy and outreach surrounding civic matters. Alia joined TEDxLFHS this year to share the importance of protest fashion throughout history, and its influence on expression in our world today. In addition to fashion and design, Alia is passionate about writing, music, and reading, and hopes to pursue a career in education in the future.
