Buakaw Banchamek is the most famous muay Thai fighter in history. He shot to fame on the world stage in 2004 by beating three opponents in one night and claiming the K1 World Max title.

Although he has received some criticism over the last number of years for not fighting world class opponents, his achievements in K1 kickboxing are legendary.

What Buakaw has done for the sport of muay Thai will surely never be repeated; he has inspired millions upon millions to begin training in muay Thai and is a great ambassador for the sport we all love.
