A HIBS fan was devastated after having to take his Hearts-daft son to the Scottish Cup final - because he couldn't break a promise.

Jason Hood said he was "almost in tears" when his eight-year-old son Lewis told him he was a Jambos supporter last year - despite his dad being a life-long Hibee.

The 33-year-old refused to take the youngster to any Hearts games but did make him a promise that he would take him to the Scottish Cup final if they qualified.

But the council worker never believed that Hearts would make it far enough through to the final.
