This is a comparison of Zoom H1 vs the onboard microphone of Panasonic GH1 camera. The problem with Zoom H1 is that while having excellent sound quality it tends to pick up every touch to the camera like focus or zoom pulling in a very intrusive way if hard-fixed on top of the camera. In this video I try to fight the problem by mounting Zoom H1 to the camera via a commercial shock mount for a shotgun mic. While this makes the entire setup a bit bulkier it definitely helps to reduce the level of unwanted noises.
