Starting with the 4.5 banners, Chiori has been officially confirmed to be the latest five star character who will be added to the playable roster. Since she's a new unit, her banner will most likely feature in phase one of 4.5. And along with chiori, Arataki itto will finally get his long awaited rerun.

Moving on to phase two banners, Neuvillette and Kazuha will get their respective rerun banners in phase 2. This will be neuvillette's first rerun since his release in version 4.1. Kazuha usually gets his rerun banner during summer, but it seems that he's coming home early this time.

They confirmed Albedo as the featured character in this third banner, alongside Eula and Klee, with multiple other weapons to choose from in the same banner. However to obtain them, you will find an epitomized path tied to this banner, similar to the existing weapons banner.

Moving on to 4.6 banners, Arlecchino is expected to be the next new five character, who will be added to the playable roster. Arlecchino is the 4th of the fatui harbingers, and perhaps one of the most awaited characters in genshin impact right now. At any rate, Her banner will be released in 4.6, and it will most likely be in phase two. This is just a guess, because baizhu was also released in phase two of version 3.6.

Other than arlecchino's story quest, two more characters, furina & cyno are expected to get their story quests in 4.6. Furina's story quest is basically confirmed, because nahida got the second part of her story quest in 3.6. And furina's banner is also expected to feature in phase one just like Nahida's banner in 3.6.

Other than Arlecchino & furina's banner, lyney & shenhe are the most fitting candidates for a rerun. Because lyney was released in 4.0 and was expected to get a rerun in 4.5, but we now know that he's not coming in 4.5, so 4.6 would be a pretty good time for him to return, along with shenhe, who hasn't gotten a rerun since 3.5. As I mentioned, 4.6 is going to be a huge patch and it will be centered around fontaine, so 3 fontaine characters getting a rerun souldn't surprise anyone.

There are also rumors about a liyue special banner in 4.6, but i don't see that happening because there's nothing related to liyue in 4.6. It would have made more sense if hoyo introduced the regional banner in 4.4, and put liyue characters like ganyu, shenhe and xiao on that banner, but in 4.6? It doesn't make any sense.

Now let's move on to 4.7 banners. Clorinde & Sigewinne will be the two new characters who will be added to the roster. Both of these characters are expected to be five star. I don't know why but sigewinne feels more like a 4 star character to me, but since most of the characters from Fontaine are 5 star, i won't be surprised if she also turns out to be a 5 star. But for now, I'm gonna count her as a four star character.

Other than Clorinde, Ganyu, Wriothesley & Xianyun are expected to return in this patch. Again I'm going with the previous pattern, Alhaitham was released in 4.4 and got his first rerun in 4.7, so I'm expecting the same with Xianyun.

There're rumors about an Inazuma festival in 4.7, but it's way too early to speculate anything. But if it turns out to be true, you can expect characters like Kokomi, Ayaka & yoimiya could get a rerun.

Moving on the last update of the 4.X cycle which is 4.8. Emilie is going to be the new 5 star character in this patch. As you all know, she's a perfume designer from Fontaine. Other than her, two characters Navia & Wanderer will most likely get a rerun in this patch. According to leaks, wanderer has a major plot in 4.8, and he will most likely get the second part of his story quest.
