I show you how to set a lock screen passcode or password on your iPhone and iPad in this video. Setting a lock screen passcode on your iPhone prevents other people from getting into your phone and and protects your personal information. The passcode consists of 4 digits to make up your pin password.

To set a passcode, go to your iPhone's main settings, then tap on general. From here, go to security and then tap on passcode. You'll be prompted to enter in a pin. Confirm the pin and you're done.
