What homeowners should do after a hail storm.

Hail storms are a fact of life in Central Texas and you never really know when to expect one.

If you've had or think you've had hail damage to your roof, follow these steps:

1. Verify your homeowner's insurance covers hail damage. I'd recommend checking this BEFORE you have a hail storm.

2. Have a licensed roofer come inspect your home and take photos/ videos of any damage.

3. File a claim with your home insurance company and submit the photos/ videos as evidence.

Your insurance company should handle things from there.
