CAR DESCRIPTION Opel's first GSe performance model has arrived in the form of a 222 horsepower Astra hybrid. GSe is a new electrically focused sub-brand that will expand across other models in the near future. The Astra is the first to get the GSe treatment, and with it comes a plug-in hybrid powertrain and bespoke styling and chassis elements. The front bumper features a more aggressive design, the side sills are also pumped up a bit and there's a new set of 18-inch wheels. Sitting 10mm lower, the chassis has a bespoke tune with variable frequency dampers fitted and re-tuned steering for more direct feedback. The GSe variant will be available in both wagon and hatch body styles.
