Today's Civil Rights Movement

From an overview of civil rights-related careers to tips for better understanding our civil rights, this lively discussion featured the expertise of notable alumni:

Danny Greenberg '66, former president of the The Legal Aid Society in New York City; Judge Sharon Bourne-Clarke '89, former CEO of Central Brooklyn Legal Services; Wendy Amengual Wark (The City College of New York), principal, Inclusion Strategy; and Norman Siegel '65, former president of the New York Civil Liberties Union - NYCLU.
Moderator: Katherine Rose Hejtmanek, assistant professor, anthropology and archaeology, and children and youth studies.

We Stand Against Hate is a series of lectures, workshops, concerts, programs, and events that will elevate discourse around controversial political issues, and foster inclusiveness and peace at Brooklyn College.
