Harry Collins is a Professor of Social Sciences at Cardiff University and was elected a Fellow of the British Academy in 2012. He has been part of the community of physicists working on gravitational waves since the early 70s and has been writing about the subject for over 30 years.

His latest book, "Gravity's Kiss - The Detection of Gravitational Waves", is a real-time account of the events around and after the spectacular discovery in late 2015 and its announcement in 2016. At Google, Collins talks about what has been discovered and how physicists have been collaborating on it for over 50 years.
