President Donald Trump will land at Charlotte Douglas International Airport Monday ahead of a planned trip to a town near Asheville. While his official schedule does not have him attending the nearby Republican National Convention in Charlotte, speculation is the president could make an appearance at the RNC.

It’s not known what the president’s plans are in Charlotte after Air Force One lands and before traveling to western North Carolina.

Delegates are meeting in Charlotte Monday morning to formally renominate President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.

Previously reported, according to White House spokesman Peter Hoffman, Trump plans to visit a town near Asheville, North Carolina Monday as the Republican National Convention gets underway.

Trump will visit Mills River, North Carolina to visit a Farmers to Families Food Box program site with daughter Ivanka Trump and United States Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue.
