Cath in her TEDx Doncaster Talk highlights the changing landscape of communication, brain changes and ethics of technology and the looming metaverse.

Cath presents the question what will this do to us as a species, how will this change our connections to each other and how will this impact our digital (and environmental) footprints for the future.

This engaging TEDx Doncaster Talk will highlight how technology is changing communication pathways, attachment processes, compassion, empathy and development in the lifespan and how we now inhabit two worlds in the corporeal and virtual.

Cath will also demonstrate how relationships form a MWE and how this interconnects humans in the social and cyber synapse space.

Will our bodies react to spaces where rejection, inclusion, immersion and somatic disorientation all collide with technology that can never be fully aware (at this stage) of what it is to be human and in connection on a neurobiological level (electrochemical and more)

She synthesises the presenting issues that people bring to her clinic around online harms and our behaviours online with child development theories, science and research to highlight the larger issues at hand for the human race. She is a futurist regarding the issues we face as we progess with exponential technology. She is an advocate for ethical tech and our rights and freedoms to privacy and protection now and in the future. She educates professionals on data protection, cybersecurity, and privacy laws and provides online safeguarding training to give those responsible for children a wake-up call as to the spaces children need protection in and around.
