Chiefs draft needs included EDGE, WR, OT and RB and all of those positions were addressed by GM Brett Veach. Felix Anudike-Uzomah was the Chiefs 1st round pick and should have a chance to start as a rookie. Patrick Mahomes encouraged Veach to draft Rashee Rice and Kansas City traded up for him in the 2nd round. KC added OL Wanya Morris in the 3rd round before the Chiefs added Chamarri Conner, BJ Thompson, Keondre Coburn, and Nic Jones on Day 3 of the 2023 NFL Draft.
