How Online Trackers Track You, and What You Can Do About It | Luke Crouch | TEDxUniversityofTulsa |
|
Luke Crouch presents the reality of what online tracking is capable of today, and how pervasive it is in our online presence. However, he also shows how easy it is to fool some of the online trackers, and take our privacy online back.
Luke is a web software engineer with 15 years experience. He currently develops web software at Mozilla, focusing on security & privacy prototypes and experiments for Firefox. In that role, he has built tracking protection services and features, measured online tracking, and shared what he has learned with collaborators at Electronic Frontier Foundation and the Princeton Web Transparency & Accountability Project. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx |
