Player Retention - IPL 2018 - CSK Coreteam list Revealed | Whistle Podu
CSK retained MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja through player retention in an event held at Mumbai on Jan 4th 2018 for the 11th edition of Indian Premier League.
Other IPL franchises including Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, Delhi Daredevils, Kolkatta KnightRiders, RoyalChallengers Bangalore, Kings XI Punjab have also confirmed the list of players they want to retain for IPL2018.
This gives us a clear picture of amount spent before they get into the auction to be held on 27th, 28th January 2018 at Bangalore. Salary cap for each IPL franchise has been increased to 80C.
If a franchise decides to retain 3 players they would have 47C available to spend and can you buy a maximum of 2players using the Right to Match card (RTM) at the auction
If a franchise decides to retain 2 players they would have 59C available to spend and can buy a maximum of 3 players using Right to Match ( RTM ) card at the auction
If a franchise decides to retain 1 player they would have 67.5C available to spend and can buy a maximum of 3 players using Right to Match ( RTM) card at the auction.

Correction:
RCB will enter the auction with INR 49Crores in their purse. We would like to correct the mistake in this video where we have informed RCB will enter auction with INR 47Crores.
Virat Kohli is expected to be paid INR 17crores and Sarfaraz Khan being an uncapped player will be paid only INR 3 Crores.
