This is a subject that is not often spoken about, known about or at times... even realized. We see BIPOC adversities in the social justice issues, politics, religion, civil rights...but many forget that these disparities have rippled even into our beloved Theatre's across the world. This episode features a poignant conversation within the lens of two BIPOC Creatives. The first is an African-American Actor, Educator, Director, Writer and Producer, and his name is Robert Connor. Our second guest is an Asian-American Actress & Singer who was the first Asian-American to play "Anna" in the Disney's Musical Rendition of "Frozen".

We wondered...How often are African-American Actors cast? How often are Asian-American's cast? Are there many roles for black actors? How many roles are there for Asian actors?

We are so excited to share this episode with you! Art Unmasked is a series within our Podcast in where we interview working actors from Community Theatre's, Touring companies, and even Broadway! It is Black History Month! Hence why we decided NOW would be a great time to have these difficult conversations. Is there African-American diversity in Theatre? Is there Asian-American diversity in Theatre? Or the bigger question...is Theatre diverse at all? Or has theatre diversity changed in 2021? Our hope is that our audience will receive the information with an open heart, and an open mind...and leave the interviews with a deeper perspective, and with an inspired sense of a call to action.
